Bella and Boden are out there with him every chance they have. August is a great homework enforcer, making them prove they've finished before he'll let them join him.
Finally, he does it. I can hear the whoops of joy all the way from my garden. It's late afternoon, and Aurelia is sleeping after her shift at the hospital. Arden's at work, but he just can't help himself. He wakes her up, too excited to wait.
"Lia, I've done it! Try it, try it!"
Aurelia doesn't hesitate.
It works! Brandt is a real, live sim.
He wastes no time telling Aurelia how much he loves her, and then within days, my baby girl is engaged. They plan to stay just long enough to get married.

August takes a job at the science facility. Now that he's accomplished the hard part, making more potions won't take as much time. He won't tell me specifics about the job, only that he "works in the lab." I do some digging of my own--he's a TEST SUBJECT! This poor mama is scared witless, but I like to think I'm smart enough to keep my mouth closed.
August continues to work on creating another potion in between work and sleep. It's labor intensive and expensive, but he promises Arden he'll have Kenji's ready by the wedding. That he wants to see his sisters happy first warms my heart.
Aurelia and Brandt decide on a carnival themed wedding at the park, and as we count down the days, I start to get excited. I won't pretend. I'm thrilled to see Aurelia and Brandt start their life together... in their own house. I promised August and Arden they could stay until Kenji and Peaches are sims, but once my adult children have left, I'll have room to continue with my plans. 7 children down. Only 93 more to go!
Boden and Bella celebrate their birthdays the week before the wedding, aging up to Young Adults.
Boden rolls Virtuoso, and a LTW of Seasoned Traveler. (Adventurous, Absent-minded, Mean Spirited, Vegetarian, Virtuoso) He rolls a wish to join the film career.
Bellatrix rolls Dog Person and a LTW of Hit Movie Composer. (Adventurous, Couch Potato, Virtuoso, Natural Cook, Dog Person) She joins the music career, hoping to take after her oldest sister.
And my little Brontë leaves the toddler stage to begin her school career... She rolls Hydrophobic. Shaping up to be a fine sim specimen, this one.
The night before the wedding, I'm fishing for angelfish--both for some much needed relaxation, and in an attempt to further my quest for the ingredients to make the mysterious ambrosia--when my birthday occurs with no warning. Okay, well, not really, but you know us women. We like to think ignoring it means it won't happen. Talk about an instant mid-life crisis, with a bad hairstyle to match! (another missing shot :( ) As soon as this wedding is over, I'm going to focus on regaining my youth.

Though Brandt has never attended school a day in his life--that I know of, anyway--he is part of Boden and Bella's graduating class. Okaaaay, then.
Boden graduates with merit, voted most likely to write a bestselling novel. Bella graduates with honor, as does Brandt. We stay just long enough for photos, then it's time to race home and dress for the wedding. Addie and Seth have returned from Paris, and I am so excited to see my firstborn. A real family reunion.
Aurelia and Brandt exchange vows in front of the carousel as dusk falls. It's a stunning wedding, and I am so happy for the two of them.
Right after they cut the cake, Aurelia announces her news to a captive audience--she hasn't even told Brandt yet. They're expecting a baby!
Adelaide has news of her own--she's expecting, too, and isn't much further along than Aurelia. It hits me, and I have to sit down. I'm going to be a grandmother.
I push my vanity aside. Never mind the fact I'm way too young. This is going to be fun.

August keeps his promise, and presents Arden with a potion for Kenji.
They sure don't waste any time!
And then Kenji gets down on one knee.
Unlike Aurelia and Brandt, Arden and Kenji are in no hurry to marry. Their engagement is commitment enough. They move into a cute little cottage on Long Island. Aurelia and Brandt follow, finding a new house they love even more than the first one. For now it's just me, August, and Brontë.
August doesn't seem as desperate to work on his own potion, and I wonder if he's having doubts, but he says no, he just wants to make sure that he and Peaches can afford to move out right away.
Now that the house is beginning to feel empty, I decide it's time to find a new baby daddy. August offers to keep an eye on his little sister while I head out for some fresh air and a massage. While I'm out, I run into Skip Broke, and we get to talking. We don't chat long, because I don't want to be late for my appointment, but the idea has taken root.
When I arrive home, August has finished his latest potion and is waiting for me.
"Mom, meet Peaches."
She's gorgeous, with electric blue dreads and eyes so dark they must be black, and a delightful laugh. I hope she'll make my firstborn son very happy.
I leave them to get better acquainted, though Brontë walks in and eyes them with disgust.
"Eww! Kissing is so gross, August. Get a room!"
I'm not so sure she meant that as literally as they take it, however...
August tells me they plan to move out right away, but I offer them my room for the night. I'll take the opportunity to have a sleepover with Brontë, as she's been begging me for weeks.
Later that night, August puts a ring on his beloved's finger.
They don't want to wait, and I don't blame them.
And they exchange rings right there in the living room.
In the morning, it's clear that I can't hold them off any longer. They're ready to move out, and nothing I say will change their minds.
And now, it's just Brontë and me.
